NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — The former girlfriend of a New Hampshire man serving a life sentence for his role in the 2009 home invasion killing of a woman and maiming of her daughter says she used to call the suspect on trial now “Creepy Chris.”

Jillian Baptist made the comments Thursday during the murder trial of 21-year-old Christopher Gribble.

Gribble has acknowledged his role in the killing of Kimberly Cates and the maiming of her 11-year-old daughter, Jaimie, but he’s asking a jury to rule he was insane.
