Police: UMass Law Student Caught With Guns And Ammo
DARTMOUTH (CBS) - A student at UMass Law School faces weapons charges after Dartmouth Police recovered two illegal guns along with several hundred rounds of ammunition from his home.
Officers arrested John Ethan Cassidy Wednesday on the campus of UMass Dartmouth.
Investigators say Cassidy's roommate tipped them off about an AK-47 and 9 millimeter pistol in their apartment.
Cassidy was arraigned Thursday in New Bedford District Court.

The 26-year-old is also accused of assaulting his roommate. Police say he will be charged at a later date with assault & battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a household member.
Cassidy, who is from Spring, Texas, had been wanted in his home state for possibly possessing bomb-making materials.
