Chelsea Man Arrested In Violent Murder Of Mental Health Worker

LYNN (CBS) – A Chelsea man has been arrested after police say he abducted a female employee from a residential mental health treatment facility in Revere and killed her, later dumping her body at a church parking lot in Lynn.

Boston Police arrested that suspect, identified as 27-year-old DeShawn James Chappell, Thursday evening in Roxbury.

The victim was identified by police as 25-year-old Stephanie Moulton, a Peabody resident, and an employee at the facility, North Suffolk Mental Health.

Moulton's family friends tell WBZ-TV the young woman never felt in danger at work, and loved her job. They also told WBZ-TV she was engaged to be married.

When police originally responded to a 9-1-1 call in Revere, they found a small fire in a room and a significant amount of blood.

Lynn Police, Revere Police, and the Massachusetts State Police are all investigating.
