LYNN (CBS) – A woman getting ready for work was hit by a stray bullet inside her home Saturday morning.

It happened on Dana Street in Lynn around 7 a.m.

Police say the bullet apparently went through the front window of 55-year-old Cheryl Marino’s house and hit her in the chest.

She was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she is in stable condition.

Police say two groups of people had been arguing outside her house when someone fired a gun.  Marino was not an intended target.

There have been no arrests.

Investigators are looking for a white four-door sedan and a black pick-up truck.

But I’ll bet if a cop was shot, the city would spare no expense to finding the shooter. To the city of Lynn and all other city and towns with that mentality that a cop’s life is more valuable the a civilian, you all still suck.

You aren’t even safe in your own home? Does she live alone? Who will pay her hospital expenses and recovery time? A horrible way to start the New Year.
