Body of missing boater found

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says the body of 49-year old Stephen McMann of Berkley was recovered Tuesday.

State Police Divers searching the area of the Taunton River near Bicentenial Park in Fall River found the body at around 11 a.m.
 
McMann had been missing since Sunday night, when the 1986 Center Console 18-foot motorized boat he was apparently operating appears to have collided with a retaining wall.

The boat was discovered later Sunday evening.

The Coast Guard had searched a five-square-mile area with boats and a helicopter in the hours and days after without him.

The State Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy this week.
