Former Easton church worker faces new molestation charge

A former youth volunteer at an Easton church who's currently serving time on a child rape conviction is facing new charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a child before he was imprisoned.

Paul Hawksley is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Taunton District Court on two counts of rape of a child and one count of enticement for an alleged assault on a 12-year-old boy in 2006.

Hawksley, a former volunteer in the youth ministry at the Free Evangelical Fellowship, pleaded guilty in June 2006 to 12 charges involving sexual attacks on children.

Authorities tell The Enterprise of Brockton that Hawksley's five-year sentence at the Massachusetts Treatment Center in Bridgewater is scheduled to end this year.

It was not immediately clear if the 41-year-old Hawksley had a lawyer.
