Dear Fine Citizens of Boston,

In case you haven't noticed the month of August is upon us- meaning there is only one official month of summer left.

We know; it's a shocking and sad realization.

We sincerely hope you've been making the most of the summer but if you've just been sitting on your couch trying to take refuge from the stifling heat instead of having fun, then it's time to get up, get out and make the most of what you have left, and there's no better place to do that than Banyan Bar and Refuge.

More: E.S.P. Eat. See. Play. Boston

Banyan Bar and Refuge is the latest, and maybe the only, indoor jungle and bistro combo to come to Beantown, making it the perfect place for you to live up the rest of the summer. Yes, you read that correctly- it's a bistro made to look like an indoor jungle, meaning you can get your grub on with delicious shared plates like Pork Wontons and Cast Iron Duck Confit Crispy Rice and then swing from the vines until your heart's content.

Okay there aren't actually any vines, but seriously, this place is completely unlike any other. It has creative cocktail and drinks (including a Kirin beer slushy machine) and a food program dedicated to unique Asian-inspired small and shared plates, and it's all in one of the most unique settings in Boston. With herringbone wood floors, reptile print banquettes, a wall lined with birch trees and chandeliers made of out branches, it's seriously like a little jungle making it the perfect refuge for you to come to with the boys after dealing with a nagging, stalker girlfriend, a stressful day at work, or just when you seriously need a Kirin beer slushy.

So instead of sitting on your couch for the rest of the summer watching it pass you by, get up and get yourself over to the Banyan Bare and Refuge; but don't worry- if you want to stay home and waste the summer away (loser), your refuge still be here come fall.
