The driver slams on the throttle and you’re whipping through the harbor at 40 mph with Led Zepplin blaring into your ears. Quick turns and sudden 360’s is what this ride on Codzilla is all about. There are 12 islands that you can visit and a small ferry out of Long Wharf can take you there, for cheap! Spectacle Island is one of the bigger and more popular islands. People flock there for its history exhibits and great hiking, fishing, kayaking, swimming, and boating. The island even hosts a clam bake at sunset every few weeks as well as a variety of activities including kite flying, island yoga, birding, and jazz concerts. If you’re looking for a more low-key day at the islands visit Georges Island where you can visit the historic Fort Warren Civil War fort or grill up some food and take a relaxing walk by the water.
