THE DEFENSE

Q: Which neighborhood do you live in and what's your zip code?

A: Needham, 02494.

Q: How old are you?

A: Twenty-nine.

Q: Where did you get your car?

A: I don't remember the salesman's name, but the entire experience with them was awful and angering.

Q: Oh no! What happened?

A: They told us multiple lies and were rude and condescending. After completing paperwork for a car, the salesman discovered it had already been sold. We agreed another of the same would be brought in for us from another location. Three more were promised before a single one arrived for us, making the buying process last a week and leaving us without a car in the process.

Q: That's awful!

A: I know! When discussing our frustration with the poor handling of the sale, the salesman suggested that it was our fault. Also, he pleaded with us to go easy on him on our customer satisfaction survey, despite knowing we were far from satisfied.

Q: Wow. So I'm guessing this will be your last dealing with them?

A: I would sooner walk to Alaska than buy anything from [that] location ever again. I always urge others to avoid the chain as well.

Q: What made you pick this car?

A: It's the same model as my husband's previous car, which he was very happy with.

Q: What's your car's main use?

A: Commute to the city.

Q: What's your favorite and worst part of your commute?

A: My favorite is watching the seasons change. The worst is the ignorance and selfishness drivers show each other.

Q: Have you taken any trips with this car?

A: Yes, lots!

Q: Who did you go with?

A: My husband.

Q: Where was the furthest you've taken this car?

A: We have taken it to Wyoming and back.

Q: If your car had a human emotion, what would it be?

A: Probably eager. It zooms up hills on cruise control like no one's business.

Q: How long do you think you'll have this car for?

A: Hopefully for another four or five years.

Q: What was the best car you've ever owned?

A: Probably this one.

Q: What was your first car?

A: A 1976 Plymouth Volare Station Wagon.

Q: What is your ultimate dream car?

A: Volvos and Audis are nice.

Q: And what color would your dream car be?

A: Silver.

Q: Is there anything else we should know about your sweet ride?

A: There haven't been any issues with it in the four years we've had it. It's a good car.
