Boston's Best Restaurants With A View Of July 4th Fireworks

Many people love to enjoy the 4th of July fireworks display while sharing a meal or having a drink. There are just a few great restaurants in and around the city of Boston where people can do just that. Below you will find five great locations to eat and celebrate Independence Day with family and friends. You won't be disappointed by the food at the following locations -- or the view. Since the fireworks only last 25-30 minutes, being at a restaurant where you can enjoy the show in addition to a great meal and drinks is pretty awesome. Just don't forget to make a reservation to make sure you get a spot!

Top Of The Hub
800 Boylston St.
Boston, MA 02199

Top of the Hub is the obvious choice for those who want to enjoy a meal and have a great view of the Boston fireworks. Sitting 52 floors up, you will be able to see most of the city, and the fireworks display is simply gorgeous from this vantage point. You will want to sit in the lounge along the windows for the best view, however this area is generally first come, first served. Also, after 8 p.m., there is a $24 minimum per person, so keep that in mind before making a reservation.

Located on the second floor of the Boston Harbor Hotel, Meritage is a fine choice for any night out. While you won't get a view of the fireworks display from as high a vantage point as Top of the Hub, Meritage is an excellent place to go to celebrate Independence Day. The food is top notch as is the service, and many tables have views of the harbor, which means you'll likely be able to see the July 4 display from your seat.

Enjoy modern Spanish tapas on the patio for a great view of the fireworks. The finger foods/appetizers are great, and people rant and rave about the atmosphere and the service at Kika Tapas. Of course, finding a quaint place just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city is almost always a plus.

Boston, MA 02110

Joe's American Bar & Grill on the waterfront is a great way to see the fireworks, but you'll need to have a table with a "water view" to enjoy the show while eating. While the restaurant does take reservations, they do not take requests for "water view" tables, so it can be a bit tricky. Your best bet would be to make a reservation, and arrive about 30-40 minutes early to see if there's a table with a good view available.

Restaurant Dante
40 Edwin H. Land Blvd.
Cambridge, MA 02142
(617) 497-4200

This hotspot north of the city features some fine Italian cuisine presented by chef Dante de Magistris. For a view of the fireworks, you will have to step outside (there is a sidewalk that is good for viewing), but many people think this is a great spot to dine and celebrate on July 4th. Reservations are available right on the restaurant's website.
