Grab your kids and pets and head down to lounge about, relax and meet new people at this centrally located area. There are even occasional concerts, plays, art shows and other events when the weather is warm, and when it is cold, the holiday lights are sure to delight kids and even you too.

The Boston Children's Museum offers up family memberships, or is a great place to pop in just once to explore, for both you and your kids to meet people with similar interests. The museum prides itself on offering multi-sensory and hands-on exhibits and offerings so children can learn, but also have a great time. Science, art and culture are just a few things the museum touches upon through its exhibits, plus there is a strong emphasis on creative thinking too.

Another place to spend time and meet up with other parents and your kids is the local aquarium, which also has day passes or memberships available. The Aquarium has just finished up amazing renovations, making it even more of an attraction in Boston for exploring sea species. There are improved exhibits and plenty more animals to enjoy and learn about. Also on your visit, make sure to see if there are any shows and head over to the hands-on areas.
