Endway has circled the hallowed halls of Boston since their inception back in 2004. They capture the soulful and heartfelt sound that can only be described as captivating. Pulling comparisons to Maroon 5, INXS and The Police, this band creates a truly original sound that is bound for your music collection. Singer Morgan Dorr is velvety smooth with his lyrics and really makes you believe all will be ok. Endway has 3 albums out and they play tons of local shows.

A melancholy wave has overtaken the area with jabs of undulating guitar riffs and deep rooted alt/folk rhythm. Mean Creek frontman/guitarist Chris Keene sends a haunting shiver at you with what can be described as Cobaine meets Dylan. The band has been voted best new act for 2010 at the Boston Music Awards, a Top 10 Band to Watch in 2010 by the Boston Music Spotlight, a 2010 Best Music poll winner by the Boston Phoenix, as well as gathering praise in various major music publications from California to the U.K.

The epitome of a good time band is when you leave the show feeling better than when you went in. Mellow Bravo is one Boston band that gets the job done. Combining Blues-inspired Rock with hints of soul and 70’s arena anthem, front man Keith Pierce commands the stage with a bravado that can only be described as sexual. The group has been hailed as a Top 10 Band for 2010 by the Boston Herald and shows no sign of letting you rest from infectious sing-alongs, stories of life’s’ excesses and guilty pleasures.

The British are coming, the British are coming! Well not really, but the mania the Beatles stirred up is slowly being recreated for one Boston favorite with a Brit-Rock style. The Luxury frontman Jason Dunn is a mad man on the vocals. The Luxury was selected by the band Coldplay to open their 2008 Boston show. The group was crowned the winner of the heralded WBCN Rock and Roll Rumble in 2009 They have been selected as a Top 10 Band to Watch in 2010 by The Boston Music Spotlight and dubbed “The City’s Best Rock Band” by Ryan’s Smashing Life music blog.

As you find yourself bouncing around the room in some neo-new wave dance fueled craze, you see a platinum haired siren right there with you. With influences of Bowie, Blondie and Elvis Costello, The New Collisions’ music is at home in a club, a dance party or on every radio in the nation. Singer Sarah Guild is a sexy femme fatale that belts out catchy lyrics of poppy tempo songs that you can’t get out of your head. The New Collissions were named a Top Ten CMJ 2009 by New York Magazine and This Week In New York.

Shawn Sixx is a producer for CBS Radio Boston’s WZLX. He is also a contributing writer for AMP Magazine and Ryan’s Smashing Life.
