Leave enough time to go across the street to Weir River Farm to visit with the sheep, cows, chickens, pigs and horses — bring the cameras.

This five-acre island is best reached by boat, so grab a kayak or canoe, and make your way over with your date. Paddle around the mix of salt marsh and coastal islands in the area. Eat a picnic lunch on the lawn before heading back from your adventure.
