Radius

Boston, MA 02110

Website
Radius, in Boston’s Financial District, has an extensive dessert menu. But, the choice should be simple: go for the cheesecake! This cheesecake is a bit different in the sense that it has a goat cheese base. But this type of cheese gives the dessert a fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth consistency. The cheesecake is not unbearably sweet, and the huckleberry ice cream and light lemon syrup infusion tantalize your taste buds. The crust is crisp, and it compliments the creamy deliciousness of both the goat cheese filling and huckleberry ice cream.

The flavors of cheesecake on the menu at Henrietta’s Table in Harvard Square are often changing, but all are consistently delicious. From the maple cheesecake, to cinnamon-hazelnut, to the chocolate cheesecake, to gingerbread flavored, to caramel, the list is truly endless. The current star of the dessert menu is a vanilla cheesecake, homemade whipped cream, and a fresh blueberry compote. The cheesecake is velvety and definitely not too heavy so it won’t leave you feeling overly stuffed after your meal.

If you are lactose intolerant, vegan, or dairy sensitive, good news: there’s a cheesecake out there for you, and it’s at Grasshopper Restaurant in Allston. The tofu-based filling may breed some skeptics, but rest assured, the “cheesecake” is delicious, rich, and creamy. It’s hard to not imagine you’re eating the real thing. In fact, many people who can eat the real thing eat Grasshopper’s cheesecake vegan option instead. There are two options for toppings, strawberries or blueberries. Both are delicious.

Scrumptious is probably the best adjective to describe the cheesecake at Market by Jean George in the W Hotel. The Market cheesecake is a delicate combination of flavors, and the fruits and sorbets that it is paired with change seasonally. The cheesecake has crème-fraîche in it, which gives the cake a subtle tanginess, while it remains smooth and creamy with each bite taken. The summertime fruit pairing is light lemon cream and a blueberry sorbet. The sweetness of these two fruits meshes perfectly with the silky cheesecake.
