Boston's Best Brews With A View

There is no doubt about it: Boston is one of the most beautiful cities in the United States. The city features elegant, historical architecture, picturesque cobblestone streets, a clean blue harbor, and a distinct skyline. The downside, of course, is that Boston is bitter cold and covered in grey tinted city snow for five months of the year. The limited window to enjoy Boston's unadulterated beauty makes the following bars and restaurants popular destinations - especially in the fall, when people are the more motivated than ever to make the most of the good weather.

The high end restaurant and bar is right on the water and overlooks Boston's skyline. Legal Harborside has both indoor and outdoor dining options, so diners can enjoy the gorgeous view no matter the weather or season. And since Legal Harborside serves up some of the highest quality seafood, it is a great spot to enjoy Boston classics like clam chowder and local oysters.

Another wonderful way to look over the Boston skyline and Boston harbor is by heading to the Charlestown Navy Yard and enjoying drinks and upscale pub fare at Pier 6. And with reasonably priced water taxis available, Charlestown is especially easy to access in the summer and early fall. And it is worth the trip because Pier 6 has some of the most fantastic views of Boston. Enjoy your beer indoors or outdoors on their second story deck!

Drinking beers and cocktails in skyscrapers or on the water aren't the only ways to enjoy Boston's best views. In fact, some of the most picturesque scenes in the city are on land right at eye level. Bistro du Midi, for example, is located within direct view of Boston Public Garden, which is one of the oldest and most well maintained landscaped gardens in the country. Beautiful flowers, rustling trees, and thought-provoking statues make the garden one of Boston's true gems and Bistro du Midi is one of the only places in town to enjoy a brew with a view of the garden.
