Right outside of Boston, the suburbs offer plenty of gluten-free options for dining out. Each restaurant included here takes pride in how they prepare the GF options and make sure guests can clearly find the menu selections that meet their needs, whether they have an allergy or are on a special diet. Though they may not have gluten, there is no lack of flavor in the dishes at these spots.

There is a whole menu with a focus on gluten-free items, with many of these options also vegan and soy-free. Dinner entrees like the steak frites, honey-glazed salmon or crispy duck also make great selections. And for a gluten-free dessert, go for the Fallen Chocolate Souffle Cake featuring fudge, whipped cream and ice cream.

Each dish is expertly prepared and the combination of ingredients is perfectly paired to offer layers of flavor. Diners feast on Millet loaf, served with seasonal vegetables and Ethiopian-spiced tempeh with marjoram pesto, ratatouille and carrot sage béchamel sauce. Other standouts include beet and potato latkes, pistachio and coconut tofu, Jamaican jerk tempeh and the butternut squash polenta.
