Best Comedy In MetroWest

Sometimes it is nice to get out of the bustle of the big city, or in the case of suburbanites, sometimes it's difficult to get into the city. Fortunately, fans of funny find their fill of live comedy shows in the MetroWest area. There are a number of comedy clubs, restaurants and other venues that regularly host comedy events, guaranteeing an entire evening of fun and laughter.

The highlight of Samba Steak and Sushi is not just that it is an unusual location for comedy. The venue's menu will have you smiling as well. When it comes to sushi and other fish cuisine, Samba has a wide variety, including a raw bar. On top of that, it offers curries, several choice cuts of steak, plenty of vegetables and a great selection of salads. In fact, the menu is so big and accommodating, it may be a little overwhelming. When it comes to humor, Samba hosts comedy nights courtesy of local comedian Larry Lee Lewis.

The Center for Arts in Natick is a community and performance venue for all of the performance arts. Guests can see musical performances regularly, but the venue also plays host to comedy nights. This venue is a decommissioned firehouse that's more than a century old, so there is a bit of a historic feel to the place. In this way, The Center for Arts in Natick is helping to preserve a bit of architectural and local history by putting the old firehouse to good use.

Jose Murphy's Cafe & Bar has a slightly confused chain restaurant menu with bar food, burgers, fajitas, wraps, steak and pasta dishes, but the food is good and the options plentiful. The Stage Time Comedy Club is a regular sight at Jose's and features a variety of comedians. The lineup never stays the same from week to week, so visitors can get a range of comedy styles.

Open only Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Speakers Night Club is not a venue with any other purpose than entertaining on the weekends. It plays host to a lot of DJ music, dance nights and some comedy nights. There is no food at the venue, so hungry club-goers should dine before arrival. Be sure to check the calendar in advance as well, as most of its entertainment consists of dance and music.
