Red Sox Offseason
The Red Sox offseason was a hot topic of discussion Tuesday on the Gresh & Zolak show. To cover it, Dan Shaughnessy of the Boston Globe was in studio and Jon Heyman of CBS Sports called in at noon.
A conversation took place Thursday morning with Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe about whether other teams around baseball will follow the Red Sox model of signing competitive players with chemistry over high-priced free agents.
The Red Sox have reportedly offered catcher/first baseman Mike Napoli a three year deal, but the free agent is holding out for a fourth year, and he may get it from another AL team.
It doesn’t look like free agent Torii Hunter will be roaming the Fenway outfield next season, at least not as a member of the Boston Red Sox.
The Boston Globe’s Peter Abraham joined 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher & Rich Friday morning, and said the Red Sox’ top choice for their next manager is pretty clear.
The Red Sox are set at shortstop next season
98.5 The Sports Hub’s Tucker Silva will be giving his insight during the Red Sox offseason, talking about the best moves for the club. Leading things off: trading Josh Beckett.
