Gov. Deval Patrick has signed into law an overhaul of the pension system for public employees.
The Massachusetts Senate has approved an overhaul the state’s pension system.
The Governor has spoken about state retirement changes. I’m curious about this. Can he unilaterally make these changes, or is some kind of vote from Beacon Hill required? I’m guessing that it will never pass a vote if Senators and Reps are involved in that many of them are long time double and even tripple dippers. – Bruce, W. Yarmouth
