North Atlantic Oscillation
Cold air left over from Friday & Saturday’s cold remains firmly in place Sunday morning. Spotty freezing drizzle moved through overnight forming a light glaze on untreated surfaces. A warm front is stationed along our south coast. Dense […]
High pressure sits over us today with light NE winds and abundant sunshine. Highs climb to 46-50 this afternoon. Another stellar day for this time of year.
Towards afternoon some high clouds will approach from the west associated with an approaching warm front. Regardless, lots of sun will be found with seasonal high temperatures around 50 degrees.
Cool filtered sunshine this morning with increasing high altitude clouds will give way to mostly cloudy skies this afternoon and warming temperatures into the 40’s. High pressure off the coast will wrap in warming SW winds…but the lack of sunshine will make it feel cooler. Keep a close eye on the radar today because we have quite a bit of rain just to our SW which is heading right to us for tonight. Clouds will thicken in advance of the rain this afternoon with showers arriving in western New England around sunset. Showers will be reaching the coast between 6-8 PM…
Bright sunshine with a slow moderation through the day with light WSW wind with highs in the 30’s to near 40. Clear skies tonight, not as cold..but still chilly with good radiational cooling with lows again dropping into the 20’s
I would expect some diurnal cumulus to start to pop around midday into the afternoon. Still plenty of sunshine. Highs are stuck in the 30’s today with Lwr 40’s tomorrow with brisk NW winds.
Definite light at the end of the tunnel. Besides a few rainstorms delivering couple inches of rain at a time…we could not have asked for a more ideal weather pattern to break down a historic […]
Looking down the road we have been talking about a pattern change. But there still is some cold, a few clippers and a trough in place across the Northeast through next Tuesday which will help to keep New England in the Cool…but how cold will it be?
High pressure parked over the Ohio Valley is steering in cold dry weather from Canada. Plenty of Sunshine today with highs in the Upper 20’s and Lwr 30’s. An Arctic front pushes through tonight and the real cold air gets on the move. Arctic air will settle in after midnight with clear skies and calm winds. Lows will drop below zero in interior valleys while hover near 10 degrees at the coast.
