Monday Night Football
The San Diego Chargers had a great first half against the Denver Broncos during their Monday Night Football match up. Jon Gruden really went off in the second half when Peyton “The Sheriff” Manning led his team to victory down by 24 points.
Felger and Massarotti were joined by Jermaine Wiggins at the Ace Ticket Studio to discuss the NFL replacement referees and last nights controversial call. Last night, the replacement officials struck again with a questionable call at the end of last night’s Green Bay Packers-Seattle Seahawks game.
Singer John Parr is best known for singing the theme to the movie St. Elmo’s Fire, but now is back in a big way.
Gresh & Zo kicked things off with talks about the NFL playing extra games now on Thursday every week, but the bigger topic was the performances of the replacement officials.
Week 1 is officially in the books and Gresh & Zo break down all the action from the weekend and the Monday night games.
Only two more preseason games until they start to count, but Monday Night games have the regulars up in the booth. That being said Toucher & Rich play their first round of The Jon Gruden This Guys Challenge of the season.
Since Jon Gruden will be in the booth tonight and we might see Ryan Mallett getting extended playing time, Hardy and Flynn broke down audio of Gruden’s meeting with Ryan Mallett prior to 2011 NFL Draft.
A damp start to Sunday with a batch of showers…Light rain and drizzle.. associated with a weak short wave pushing through which is helping to provide the initial lift for the morning hours. The cut-off low, which has taken eight days to move through the country making all kinds of weather headlines, is finally beginning to push off the coast as it rides well south of New England. Still just enough lift may be in place that we could still see a few lingering light showers and drizzle into the afternoon, especially along the coast with light onshore East winds.
Winds will be strong and persistent enough to make for wind damage with fallen limbs, branches and power lines. Wind Advisory for most areas 20-30 mph winds gust to 50. A Wind warning along the south Coast including the Cape and Islands thru 8 PM for sustained winds 30-40 with gust to 60 mph possible.
A weak front is pushing through New England today. Temps have started in the Lwr-mid 30′s…with plenty of sunshine, breezy WNW winds, highs will climb to 40-45 south of Boston, and remain in the upper 30′s NW of the city. High clouds will be increasing from the south during the afternoon as a low tracks well south of the region.
