Lawyers for Boston mobster James “Whitey” Bulger are asking a federal appeals court to remove a judge who’s scheduled to preside over Bulger’s trial on murder charges.
The FBI believes Robert Gentile had some involvement with stolen property related to the 1990 heist at Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
The trial of alleged mobster James Whitey Bulger will remain on November 5th, at least for now.
A federal prosecutor believes the 82-year-old will try to “manipulate the system” so he’s never brought to trial for his alleged role in 19 murders.
