A New Hampshire man who won a court case to use a vanity plate reading “COPSLIE” to protest what he calls government corruption is running for state representative.
New Hampshire’s highest court has ruled state DMV workers violated the free speech rights of a man who wanted “COPSLIE” on his license plate.
In an unanimous decision, the state Supreme Court agreed with the arguments of David Montenegro, who has legally changed his name to “human”. He wanted the plate to protest what he called government corruption.
