Hundreds Shake Off Cold Weather For Southie Polar Bear Plunge

At 9:29 a.m. a couple of hundred people in bathing suits stood on the beach outside the L Street bath house in South Boston – on January 1, with the temperature in the low 20’s.

Huge Turnout For Polar Bear Plunges

About 1,000 people took advantage of the warmer weather Saturday and went swimming outside.
