Temps will be warming up this afternoon inland climbing into the mid 80’s for most areas, even nearing 90 in western New England. Weak high pressure will make for wall to wall sunshine through the day with light NW winds. A sea breeze will likely develop at the coast this afternoon to cool temps from the lwr 80’s back into the 70’s for the second half of the day.
Dewpoints have climbed into the Lwr-mid 60’s so there is a muggy feel along with the increasing heat. Temps will be close to yesterday’s, but maybe a couple of degrees warmer climbing into the Lwr 90’s in most areas. Along with the humidity, this is a day where you need to take moments during the day to stay cool…either by AC, shade, water, or ice cream!

The Rain has pushed off shore, but plenty of clouds remain today as SW winds aloft continue to stee warm humid airmass into the northeast. High pressure will be building towards New England with a stalling front off our coast this afternoon. This should give way to some increasing sun or at least a thing to the overcast this afternoon. Breaks are already visible on the satellite. Overall, a decent Saturday… With temps already in the 70’s, by afternoon it will feel down right summer like with highs in the Lwr 80’s and dewpoints near 70. Ugh.
It is a hazy humid mix of sunshine and clouds today. SW winds will help to keeps temps warm in the Mid 80’s for most, cooler on the Cape. This will be another pretty good beach day, despite the haze…it will be dry and warm.
A cold front is on the move. Scattered storms have been forming in New York state and these will be pushing into western New England during the afternoon .
Tracking a complex of rain and thunderstorms moving out of the Catskills. This will continue to spread clouds our way the rest of the evening. Most of the rain has waited for the evening hours…where is will be out west from 6 PM -9PM, then begin to shift east, Heaviest rain will be found after midnight. The column is loaded with moisture, so expect a few heavy downpours and maybe even some embedded thunder.
With high pressure overhead, drier air, light winds and clear skies…we are in store for a gorgeous summer night with temps dropping down to 60-65 in Eastern MA…with lows in the 50’s in western valleys. More sunshine for Wednesday with temps once again climbing towards 90 with moderate humidity.
After the storms exit Monday, our attention will turn to the building heat across the eastern half of the country for the mid-to-late portion of this week
It’s getting mighty hot out there today! Temps on their way to 90-95 degrees with breezy WSW winds. The only sea breeze you will find today will be along the south coast keeping those beaches in the 80’s. A muggy summery evening with skies becoming partly cloudy after midnight with some patchy fog at the south coast with the increasing dewpoints.
Just an awesome summer day out there with sunshine, warm temps in the 80’s and moderate humidity. It all is making for a perfect weather combo. High pressure pulls off the coast later today and warmer more humid air will begin to wrap in Monday.
