People across the city and eastern Massachusetts looked up in the beautiful fall sky Thursday morning and caught a rare – and loud – sight.
The Massachusetts Air National Guard will fly five F-15 fighter jets over eastern and southeastern parts of the state Thursday morning.
Military officials in Massachusetts say they’ve confirmed that the pilot of an F-15 jet that crashed in remote Virginia mountains was killed.
It is believed Air Force One was flying in the area with President Obama on board at the time.
No planes are being searched at Logan Airport in Boston in connection with sweeps of cargo jets in Newark and Philadelphia.
