Patience Is A Virtue...With Weather
Mild Stretch Of Weather...But Beware Of The Onshore WindNear record warmth is likely today with a big upper level ridge along the east coast providing sunshine with highs climbing into the 60's nearing 70.
Cold Begins To Pull Away Today...Only To Return AgainBig blue high pressure sitting over us is providing a calmer day with less of a wind chill factor. This high will be pulling off the coast and begin to wrap in warmer SW during the afternoon. This will allow temps to continue to rise through the day...but it will be a slow warming. In fact it will take the entire day of warming just to reach 32 degrees. But this will feel a whole lot better than yesterday! High clouds will continue to increase making for filtered sunshine this afternoon
Time to Exhale and Enjoy the Weekend WeatherSunny dry and breezy SW winds today, Gusts to 20 to 30 mph by midday and afternoon. Highs will be cooler than yesterday...58 to 64. There are clouds in the far northern and western reaches of New England associated with an upper low which continues to lift into Canada. Those clouds will primarily stay there, but a few puffy cu's may pop with the heating of the day across the interior. Winds will be diminishing tonight with lows dropping into the 40's with clear to partly cloudy skies.
Hello August! A Look Ahead After The StormsMonday will be a hot and more humid day with hazy sunshine and scattered afternoon storms. Most areas will reach near 90 degrees.
Tropics Are Brewing...Emily is Next UpOur weather outlook here at home is fairly tranquil, but there is a little weather to watch once this awesome weekend is in the books. Today many areas approached 90...but most did not reach it. Sunday will be a tad cooler with Sunshine and highs in the mid 80's. Lighter NW winds will shift onshore for a PM sea breeze which will cool many area beaches into the 70's during the afternoon.
