A driver suspected in a hit and run in Leominster was arrested Friday and charged with witness intimidation.

Coordinated by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition, Bay State Bike Week ropes in the entire cycling community with fun rides, business sponsorships and myriad educational opportunities for budding cyclists and environmentalists alike.
Starting Sunday, Massachusetts is holding a car-free week, asking residents to ditch their cars in favor of alternative transportation.
The opening of the Bike Share program is scheduled for this summer. Ultimately the plan may provide 5000 bikes available for rent.
