Perkins Sent Packing
Ainge’s deadline deal that sent Kendrick Perkins to the Oklahoma City Thunder will be one of his most talked about — and not in a good way. He sent Boston’s starting center and bastion on defense along with Nate Robinson to Oklahoma City for Jeff Green, Nenad Krstic and a conditional first-round draft pick. While Green has been shown improvement during the 2012-13 season, many felt Perk’s defense was irreplaceable at the time of the trade and the Celtics have never really recovered.
