Lackey was hit hard in his first two starts of the season, giving up 15 runs in just 8.2 innings pitched. Lackey still picked up the win in the Red Sox home opener when Boston put up nine runs against the Yankees. Lackey has pitched much better his last two outings, giving up just one run in 14 innings.
