Jon Wallach

WBZFM_Bio_Jon_WallachA Native of Lexington, Massachusetts, Jon Wallach got his start in radio at 17 years old when, as a freshman at Hobart College, he begged the General manager at the campus Radio station for a job.

He then managed to survive four consecutive winters in Geneva, New York before graduating school as the stations Sports Director. From there, Jon proceeded to take on-air jobs at WKBR in Manchester, New  Hampshire and WICE in Providence, Rhode Island before joining sports radio WEEI in Boston in 1995 where he worked for almost 14 years.

Jon’s on-air credits at WEEI included talk show host, update anchor and in-studio host for the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Boston College basketball radio networks. His play by play credits during that time include Providence College basketball, Brown University Basketball and Hockey, Providence Bruins hockey and, on television, Boston Cannons Lacrosse on NESN.

In August of 2009, Jon joined the on-air staff at 98.5 The Sports Hub, where he currently gives “Sports Hub Headlines” for the “Toucher and Rich” program, every morning, from 6 to 10am.

He is currently the voice of the Bryant Bulldogs mens basketball program and is a frequent contributor on NESN Daily.

Jon lives in an affordable suburb outside of Boston with his wife, twin boys and dog. His hobbies include picking up after his kids, sleeping and, of course, Magic.
