Chanteé Lans is an Edward R. Murrow award winning general assignment reporter at WBZ-TV. She joined WBZ from WPRI-TV/WNAC-TV, the CBS and FOX affiliates in Providence, Rhode Island where she was a reporter/fill-in anchor.
While there, she covered the Boston Marathon bombings, arrest and murder trial of former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez, and Blizzard of 2013.
Before New England, Lans was a reporter at WFMY-TV, the CBS affiliate in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was also a reporter and producer at WAPT-TV, (ABC) in Jackson, Mississippi.
The Long Island native started her career behind the scenes at CBS News as a national desk assistant in New York City. She has received three Emmy nominations for her general assignment reporting, feature reporting, and writing.
Lans earned her bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism from Temple University. The school honored her in 2016 with the Lew Klein Alumni in the Media Rising Star award.
