420x316 grad bernice1 Bernice CorpuzBernice Corpuz is a reporter for WBZ Newsradio 1030. Prior to joining the station full-time, she was the news director at WCAP in Lowell and the afternoon drive news and traffic reporter for WZID in Manchester, NH.

Bernice has been recognized by the AP and the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters for numerous documentary, feature, and breaking news reports while working at WGIR in Manchester, NH and WKXL in Concord, NH. She started her career in radio at WBIX in Boston, MA. She’s also worked at WMUR-TV in Manchester, NH and Hometown Forecast Service in Nashua, NH. Bernice also served as president of the New England chapter of the Asian-American Journalists Association.

Bernice was born in the Philippines. She’s fluent in Tagalog and the Filipino dialect, Ilocano. In 1991, her family moved to Woburn, Massachusetts, where she attended middle and high schools. She graduated from Emerson College in 2001 and has taken classes at Boston University to become a Certified Financial Planner.

In 2008, Bernice became a naturalized U.S. Citizen. She took the oath in New Hampshire, where she currently lives.
