If bugs dampen your camping spirit, Mass Audubon suggests that fall is the time to go. To help you out, they’re hosting a family camp-out complete with transportation for all of your gear. They’re also leading a campfire with s’mores. You bring the tent, sleeping bags, and meals, and be prepared to have a good time.

Those who remember Edaville from their own childhoods can rejoice that there is still a chance to enjoy it with their kids. This is like a rite of passage for parents, especially those with boys. Tickets include a 20-minute ride on a train pulled by Thomas and a meet-and-greet with Sir Topham Hatt. There will be a variety of Thomas themed crafts and activities, and you can also enjoy all of the regular rides and attractions at Edaville.
