In the fourth and final Hour of an Agenda Free Friday, Felger and Mazz continued to take calls on anything from the sports world. To close out the week, we hear from Mad Mike in the Final Word with Jim Murray.
Chris Gasper, of the Boston Globe, joined Felger and Massarotti during Hour 3. The guys kicked off the hour discussing the Chicago Cubs playoff run and the baseball fans rooting against them. Mike, Tony, and Chris also talked about the NFL’s investigation into New York Giants punter Josh Brown’s domestic violence incidents. Finally, the guys discussed the NFL’s ratings and Sunday’s Patriots game against the Steelers.
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz continued to take calls on an Agenda Free Friday. Bob Socci, radio voice of the New England Patriots, joined Mike and Tony to preview Sunday’s Patriots game and to share his latest Hot Takes.
It’s Agenda Free Friday! Felger and Massarotti kicked off the show sharing some opening thoughts before going right to the calls. Bob Beers, Boston Bruins radio color analyst, joined Mike and Tony to talk some B’s and last night’s win over the New Jersey Devils.
Josh Brown Situation Becomes Even More of a Disgrace
Bert Breer of TheMMQB.com joins Zolak and Bertrand in studio to discuss the major story of the day in the NFL. New York Giants kicker Josh Brown, who has admitted to domestic violence, and had previously been suspended one game for his part. After documents, emails and journal entries from Brown became public, the NFL reopened their investigation.
A couple of days ago, a caller to Zo and Bertrand presented an interesting theory as to why Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has hit a rough patch in his passing attack. The theory said that since the NFL has more closely monitored PSI in footballs, Rodgers- who was on record saying he liked his footballs to be over inflated- has struggled. It seems as though that topic is making the rounds now, as a pair of ESP shows addressed the issue, blaming Zo and Bertrand for lighting that fire.
Patrice Bergeron made his dramatic return to the Bruins lineup on Thursday night, scoring the go-ahead goal in the home opener as the Bruins beat the New Jersey Devils 2-1. With all of the uncertainty in the Bruins lineup, the team continues to impress in the early-going of the season.
Patriots and Steelers Show Their Dislike for Each Other Ahead of Sunday's Matchup
Zolak and Bertrand begin Friday's show with their opening thoughts as we wind down another week and get set for the Patriots to take on the Steelers on Sunday at 4:25. One opening thought is the subtle disdain that both the Pats and Steelers share in the wake of some comments that have come out of both camps this week. One of the comments that has Zolak most fired up comes from Steelers defensive coordinator Keith Butler, who said that the Patriots do things that are "on the edge of legal and not legal".
Jones was joined by Dave Goucher and Bob Beers following the Bruins 2-1 win over the New Jersey Devils at TD Garden on Thursday night. The guys also went over the good and the bad from the win in Plus/Minus.
During Hour 3 of Felger and Massarotti, the guys continued to discuss the Patriots. Josh Miller, former Patriots punter and current host on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, joined Mike and Tony to preview Sunday’s Patriots-Steelers game. Finally, the guys discussed last night’s Chicago Cubs win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

With the Raiders move to Las Vegas seemingly steps away, the guys discuss how Roger Goodell and the NFL continue to be against the legalization of gambling, despite apparently willing to move one of their franchises to the gambling capital of the USA.

Zolak and Bertrand start Thursday's show with a reaction to the Cleveland Indians making the World Series, by beating the Toronto Blue Jays, 3-0 last night in Toronto. The guys dicuss how Terry Francona is playing with house money, while how Theo Epstein's Championship run in Boston is more impressive than what he is currently doing with the Cubs.

Celtics president of basketball ops. Danny Ainge joined Toucher & Rich on Thursday to discuss the injuries to Marcus Smart and Kelly Olynyk, how the team looked in the preseason, and his new card that gets him free Chipotle.
Paul Perillo, of Patriots Football Weekly, joined Felger and Massarotti during Hour 3 to continue to discuss the Patriots. The guys talked about Vontaze Burfict’s unnecessary roughness fine, previewed Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the issues with the NFL tablets.
In Hour 2, Felger and Mazz continued to talk about Theo Epstein’s time in Boston. Mike and Tony also got into the New England Patriots and Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict’s $75,000 fine for unnecessary roughness in Sunday’s game. Finally, the guys discussed Bill Belichick’s issue with the NFL’s tablets.

Bruins defenseman Torey Krug calls into Zolak and Bertrand to discuss the Bruins start of the season, including their two wins so far. They also discuss the young defenseman and how they're fitting in to the Bruins lineup early on.
Patriots left tackle Nate Solder joins Zolak and Bertrand to talk about the return of Tom Brady and what he has meant to the team, while also dicussing the Vontaze Burfict issue with LeGarrette Blount last week.

The guys discuss how there is very little "good" quarterback play around the league besides Brady, Roethlisberger, Wilson, and the usual characters, and how the NFL needs some new blood to go deep into the playoffs.
