Firefighters Carry Elderly Women To Safety After Car Stalls On Flooded Road

SPRINGFIELD (CBS) – Firefighters came to the rescue of two elderly women whose car became trapped on a flooded road.

Springfield firefighters carried the women, who are 87 and 89 years old, to safety after their car stalled in the St. Michael's Cemetery on State Street.

The road was flooded and icy, firefighters said.

Neither woman was injured.
