BOSTON (CBS) – A large water main break shut down part of Huntington Ave. Monday night.
Crews responded to the break near the Brookline line at about 7:50 p.m.
The break was located in the middle of the outbound side of the road. Water was spraying 25 feet into the air for about two hours, causing a thick layer of ice to form in the area.
Crews worked through the night to repair the break.
The road re-opened early Tuesday, but authorities urged drivers to be careful of the the ice still in the area.
