Organizers Cancel Boston First Night Parade, Family Fireworks

BOSTON (CBS) - The organizers of "First Night" in Boston have announced more cancellations ahead of frigid temperatures expected on New Year's Eve.

The parade and the family fireworks have been cancelled.

The parade was supposed to kick off at 6 p.m., ahead of the 7 p.m. fireworks.

Organizers say the entertainment in Copley Square is still on, as are the fireworks at midnight.

On Friday night, they cancelled skating at the Frog Pond.
