Young Woman Killed After Being Hit By Car In Avon
AVON (CBS) -- The Norfolk District Attorney confirmed a young woman was killed after she was hit by a car while crossing the street in Avon Saturday afternoon.
Ariel Dineen, a 19-year-old from Brockton succumbed to injuries shortly after the crash, according to the DA.
The crash occurred near the intersections of Harrison Boulevard and Stockwell Drive.
Dineen's family said she was crossing the street to meet a friend at Dunkin Donuts.
They added it was her first day working at the Party City next to the crash scene.
Officials have not released any more information at this time.
