17-Year-Old Struck, Killed By MBTA Commuter Rail Train

ANDOVER (CBS) -- A day student at Phillips Academy was struck and killed by an MBTA Commuter Rail train Tuesday night.

The Essex District Attorney's office said the 17-year-old boy was struck near Andover Street around 7:25 p.m.

They said he was taken to Lawrence General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Foul play is not suspected, but State Police are investigating.

The student has not been identified because of his age.
