Need For Speed: Woman Clocked Driving 111 MPH On New Hampshire Highway

GREENLAND, NH (CBS) -- In the 1980s, Sammy Hagar sang that he couldn't drive 55. A New York City woman apparently has to drive twice as fast, because on Sunday, New Hampshire State Police say they clocked a woman driving 111 miles-per-hour on Interstate 95.

Police say Marcie Smith, 56 of New York City, was driving at that speed in a 65-miles-per-hour zone when they pulled her over near Greenland, New Hampshire.

She told troopers she didn't know she was driving that fast.

Police gave her a ticket for reckless operation and she will be in court in August.
