Boston Bids Farewell To Tall Ships
BOSTON (CBS) -- As Sail Boston 2017 came to a close, people gathered at Castle Island and around the South Boston waterfront Thursday morning to watch to the tall ships that visited the city for the past week leave Boston Harbor.

It was the first time in 17 years that the sailing festival was held in Boston.
The ships are on their way to Canada, stopping at ports in Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Ontario.
Among those ships leaving Thursday morning is the Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, which left for Prince Edward Island around 9 a.m.
Several crew members shared their impressions of the last week with WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens Thursday morning.
"One of the great things about Boston is the support that we can get from the people who are here," said Coast Guardsman Ben Zerlingo of Petersburg, Alaska. "I think it's a great thing to be a part of."
One Coast Guardsman, Hunter Shortley from Forest Lake, Minnesota, said he wasn't sure what to expect from Boston--but admitted he had a "bad stereotype" about the city in his head.
"Lots of like, loud people honking their horns and shouting about sports all the time," he said. "But now that I've been here, I really love checking out the city, I was really surprised about how clean it was and how great the people were."
Millions gathered to see the massive vessels over the last few days.
