Staples Recalls 124,000 Office Chairs That Can Break
FRAMINGHAM (CBS) – Sitting down to work could be more hazardous than you think.
Staples is recalling about 124,000 Hazen Mesh Tank chairs with a five-wheel base, black fabric seat cushion and black mesh seat back.
The recalled chairs have SKU number 1058246 and item number 26680 on the label beneath the cushion.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says Staples has received 20 reports of the chair legs breaking, resulting in minor cuts and bruises for three people.
Anyone who has a recalled chair should stop using it immediately and reach out to Staples for a free replacement part.
The chairs retailed for between $100 and $180 at Staples stores and online from Oct. 2014 to April 2017.
