Why Are People Sharing Photos Of Their Feet Online?

BOSTON (CBS) – While browsing your social media feeds on Thursday, you might think to yourself, “What’s with the foot photos?”

It’s all for a good cause. Members of the WBZ-TV team and many others will “Rock One Sock” throughout the day to show support for missing children and their families.

May 25 is National Missing Children’s Day, and this campaign is all about raising awareness and much-needed dollars.

Anyone who wants to participate just has to wear one sock and post their photo or video to social media using #RockOneSock. Making a donation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to help them bring missing kids home is also encouraged.

The center says there were 465,676 reports of missing kids in the United States last year, according to FBI statistics.
