
Former CEO and Chairman of Fox News Channel and Fox Television Stations Group Roger E. Ailes died on May 18, 2017. Ailes was known as the man who built Fox News Channel into one of the most watched network on cable. Prior to founding FNC, Ailes was a media consultant for Republican presidents Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. He resigned in 2016 amid sexual harassment allegations at the network. He later joined President Donald J. Trump as an adviser during his 2016 presidential campaign. Ailes was 77.
