Young Woman Killed In Dorchester Shooting

DORCHESTER (CBS) - A young woman was killed in a shooting in Dorchester Sunday evening.

Gunfire was heard on Juliette Street in the Meeting House Hill neighborhood just before 6 p.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a woman in her 20's suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died.  Her name has not been made public.

Another person was hit by flying glass in the shooting and was also taken to the hospital.

A police K-9 unit was brought in to search the area, but there have been no arrests.

No other information is available at this point in the investigation.
