Injured Swan Rescued From Route 2 Redefines 'Snowbird'

Arlington (CBS) -- One Massachusetts resident redefined the term 'snowbird' on Saturday.

State Police helped rescue an injured swan making its way down Route 2 in Arlington during Saturday morning's snow, according to a post on the department's Facebook page. The swan, police joked, was making a bid for warmer weather.

Police directed traffic around the bird until the Animal Rescue League was able to come get it.

The swan's current conditions are unclear.
