Quincy Woman Wins $1M On First Lottery Ticket She Ever Bought

QUINCY (CBS) – Call it beginner's luck. A Quincy woman hit a $1,000,000 jackpot on the first lottery ticket she ever bought.

Midoriko-Mariam Takeuchi says she went into Point Liquors on Washington Street in Quincy to use an ATM. While inside, she decided to take a chance on the new "$2,500,000 Holiday Magic" game.

Takeuchi chose the annuity option and will receive 20 annual payments of $50,000. She plans to use some of her winnings to pay down her student loans.
