Former N.H. Lawmaker's Bail Revoked In Underage Sex, Drug Case

BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) — Bail for a former New Hampshire state lawmaker charged with trying to lure a 14-year-old girl into a sexual encounter was revoked Friday and he was sent to jail to await trial.

Republican state Rep. Kyle Tasker, of Nottingham resigned in March after his arrest on drug charges and a charge of trying to lure a minor for sex.

The 31-year-old had been released on bail and ordered to refrain from using alcohol or drugs. But last month, he was arrested on a drunken driving charge following a three-car accident.

The Rockingham County Attorney's Office had requested that Tasker's bail be revoked following the DUI arrest.

"We felt that given his new charges ... that he failed to kind of abide by those terms, that he did not stay out of trouble," prosecutor Patricia LaFrance told WMUR-TV.

Attorneys reached an agreement Friday. Tasker's trial is scheduled for May 1.
