Fan Who Dressed As Matt Patricia At Patriots-Rams Joins Toucher & Rich

BOSTON (CBS) -- Bill Belichick may be known for his gray hoodie with the cutoff sleeves, but he's not the only Patriots coach with a distinctive look. Defensive coordinator Matt Patricia has come to be known for his red sweatshirt or jacket, backward cap, and bushy beard - and fans are clearly taking notice.

One fan, in particular, was in attendance at Patriots-Rams on Sunday and caught the eye of the FOX producers during the national telecast. At one point they put the spotlight on the fan, whose name is Kevin Sullivan, sporting his spot-on Patricia getup.

Sullivan called into 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich on Monday to talk about his 15 minutes of fame. It's far from the first time he's dressed up like Matt Patricia; he did it for the Patriots' 2014 Super Bowl parade and wore it to last season's Halloween game. Although he received hundreds of messages on his phone after getting spotlighted on national TV, Sullivan said it's not the first time he's been noticed by other fans in attendance.

"I get yelled at all the time being called Matt Patricia when I'm at the games, even if I'm wearing the red sweatshirt or not, just because of the beard," said. "That's how I wear my hat everyday ... it's just the way I dress."

Describing himself as "a regular bearded person," Sullivan has also dressed up like other iconic bearded historical figures such as Jesus, Fidel Castro, and the guy from Duck Dynasty. But after Sunday's game, he'll probably be known as the "Matt Patricia guy" from here on out.
